Happy Sunday morning everyone, grab a cup of joe and hang out with us for a read!
This week around the acres was a fun week! From transitioning sections of the seasonal garden to the next round of crops, to preparing the our late spring early summer options for sale. The mid/late summer options are growing well and on track.
This week I have been growing three new type of microgreens. We had a special order for arugula. I have to say that it is growing incredibly well. I can't wait to get some feedback once I harvest! Also, we are developing two types of microbasil. It is our goal to deliver the basil in a living state and you would then pinch, pull, cut, and serve. I hope to offer these very soon once it is perfected! Our seasonal garden is rocking along. I have harvested and begun curing about half of my crop of onions, and I still have some in the ground for spring onion customers. Our dill is HUGE with massive yellow flowers bursting with colors. Our cilantro has bolted and we have lots of tiny white pollen filled flowers luring in tons of pollinators. In another row I pulled up my snow peas and onions. I added my trellis lines for tomatoes and peppers, and got lots of transplants in the ground.
As the new weeks begins I look forward to working in the garden more and securing a bountiful harvest for Carter Acres for months to come. Keep an eye on our store as new harvests become available. I will be offering tri color beets & carrots along with three new microgreens within the next couple of weeks. Expect an announcement soon!
We will now offer discounts on 14 day advance pre orders of our microgreens. Email Daven@carteracrestx.com to pre order.
